TOWN BOARD MEETING
Town Hall June 1, 2010
Present: 9 7:30 PM
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bruce Peterson. Present Chairman Bruce Peterson, Supervisors Wilfred Anhalt, and John Bertram.
The agenda was posted in the three posting places at the town hall, fire house and National Exchange Bank.
Motion Anhalt, seconded Bertram to approve the agenda as amended stating
“decide pulverizing of Kiel Road west of Marytown” not east as on the agenda as was posted. Motion carried.
Motion Peterson, seconded Anhalt to approve the minutes of the May 4, 2010 town board meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion Peterson, seconded Anhalt to approve the treasurer’s report as read.
Motion Bertram, seconded Peterson to pay the bills as presented for a total of
$39732.39, town portion $25901.75 and fire department portion $13830.64. Motion carried.
The bids for the town garage roof replacement were opened. The following bids were received:
Goebel Roofing – Remove existing steel, install 1 ˝” double lock standing
seam metal with “Kynar” finish
Feldner Construction – Remove all roof sheets, intall new roof sheets and
ridge caps, loosen and re-fasten gutters as we
re-roof , install 2 new chimney flashings and 1
new plumbing flashing, and re-use existing rake
Motion Peterson, seconded Anhalt to accept the proposal from Feldner Construction to re-roof the entire garage portion in the amount of $14566.00. Motion carried.
The bids for chip seal surfacing for the following projects:
Scott Construction’s bid is as follows:
1. Dorn Road from Kiel Road south to town line - .50 mile by 22 feet $ 7449.00
2. Dorn Road from Cty HH south to Kiel Road - 1.0 mile by 20 feet 13539.00
3. Dorn Road from Fur Farm Rd north to town line - .20 mile by 22 ft 2979.00
Total cost of the above 3 projects is: $23967.00
Fahrner Asphalt’s bid is as follows:
1. Dorn Road from Kiel Road south to town line, Dorn Road from Cty HH south
to Kiel Road, and Dorn Road from Fur Farm Road north to town line
Total cost of the above road listing: $25784.00
Motion Peterson, seconded Bertram to accept the bid from Scott Construction in the amount of $23967.00. Motion carried.
Motion Bertram, seconded Peterson to purchase a 2010 Pierce Arrow XT pumper per specs in the amount of $391207.00 from Pierce Manufacturing. Motion carried.
Motion Bertram, seconded Anhalt to adopt Resolution 3-2010 authorizing the proper town officials to enter into contract for purchase of the 2010 Pierce Pumper for the Town of Calumet Fire Department and that the contract to purchase the 2010 Pierce pumper be signed by Keith Lefeber under the terms presented to the Town of Calumet Board of Supervisors. Motion carried.
Motion Bertram, seconded Peterson to adopt Resolution #4-2010 to borrow $391,207 for a 2010 Pierce Arrow XT pumper and to adopt a tax levy pursuant to Sec. 60.10(2)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes. Motion carried.
Motion Peterson, seconded Anhalt to accept the quote from Fond du Lac County Highway in the amount of $16225.00 to pulverize 450 feet of Kiel Road west of Marytown to County G. Motion carried.
Motion Peterson, seconded Anhalt to work with Fond du Lac County to accept the Quit Claim Deed to the Town of Calumet conveying highway right of way property. Motion carried.
Motion Peterson, seconded Bertram to approve the liquor license applications for the period July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 for Marytown Athletic Club, Pipe Express, Lakeview Supper Club(Jim Koenigs), Trip’s (Randy Tripke), Schrage’s Talk of the Town (Ted Schrage), Marytown Tap (Jeff Lisowe), Cedar Lodge (Dale Bothe), Blanck’s Supper Club, Tommy J’s (Tom Mashock) and Big Al Capone’s
(Rosanne Schmitz). Motion carried.
The next town board meeting will be on July 6, 2010.
Motion Anhalt, seconded Peterson to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
