TOWN BOARD MEETING
Town Hall Thurs. June 6, 2013
Present: 25 7:00 PM
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Endries. Present Chairman Mike Endries,
Supervisors Fritz Anhalt, and Ken Lefeber.
The meeting was posted in the three posting places at the town hall, fire house, and National Exchange Bank.
Motion Anhalt, seconded Lefeber to approve the agenda as posted. Motion carried.
Motion Lefeber, seconded Anhalt to approve the minutes of the May 7, 2013 town board meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion Lefeber, seconded Anhalt to approve the treasurer’s report as read. Motion carried.
Motion Anhalt, seconded Lefeber to pay all bills as presented for a total of $89,452.15, fire department portion in the amount of $8,118.11, and town portion in the amount of $81,334.04. Motion carried.
Motion Anhalt, seconded Endries to transfer the WE Energies Marytown siren billing from the fire department to the town and bill St. Mary’s Parish for the light. Motion carried.
Motion Anhalt, seconded Lefeber to table the Johnsburg Road extra mile and the 2/3 mile until after the meeting of electors. Mike – yes, Ken – yes, Fritz – yes. Motion carried.
Motion Lefeber, seconded Anhalt to do the eleven spots on Kiel Road, Schumacher Road, and St. Paul Road in the amount of $20,860.00 with Northeast Asphalt. Motion carried.
Motion Anhalt, seconded Lefeber to allow the Calumet Sanitary District to use the town garage as needed at no charge. Motion carried.
Motion Anhalt, seconded Lefeber to approve the Town of Calumet liquor licenses for the period
July 1, 2013 thru June 30, 2014 for Marytown Tap (Jeff Lisowe), Marytown Athletic Club, Blanck’s Supper Club, Tommy J’s (Tom Machock), Pipe Express, Jim & Linda’s Lakeview Supper Club (Jim Koenigs), Big Al Capone’s, Beer Run(Richard Renk), Cedar Lodge (Dale Bothe), Schrage’s Talk of the Town(Ted Schrage), LaClare Farms (Larry Hedrich). Motion carried.
Motion Anhalt, seconded Endries to approve the ordinance for the Town of Calumet Comprehensive Plan for 2013 thru 2033 with the following changes:
Page 5, Map 1: Future Land Use - Two mapping changes in Section 15. See attached map.
1. According to the U.S. Census, the population of the Town of Calumet in 2010 was 1,470. This is only 5 more than it was in 1970. , or a decrease of 0.3 percent.
3. In general, the residents of the Town of Calumet in 20010 were far above average in age compared to the county and state.
Surface Waters: The most prominent watershed is the South Branch of the Manitowoc River that flows from north south to south north through the middle of the Town.
Housing Values (Table 118):
In 2010, the highest percentages housing values were split between the $100,000 to $19,999 range and the $150,000 and $1949,999 range.
The Town of Calumet has a relatively large number of Mobile Homes or other housing types (11 percent) compared to the County and State (about 4 percent). The mobile home park There is a concentration of mobile homes on Gulig Road with the rest scattered throughout the town. would account for nearly all of those kind of units.

Town of Calumet is served by the Mt. Calvary Town of Calumet First Responders. Mt. Calvary Town of Calumet First Responders provide more than adequate emergency service to Town residents.

The Town of Calumet Fire Department has intergovernmental agreements to provide Fire Department service to portions of the Towns of Taycheedah and Brothertown. First responder service is provided by the Mt. Calvary Ambulance Service. Town of Calumet Fire Department.
Department of Natural Resources (WDNR)
There are no is one three acre parcel located east of Columbia Park properties in the Town of Calumet that are is owned and/or managed by the WDNR.
The Town of Calumet is aware of WDNR rules and regulations.

The next town board meeting will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 7:00 PM.
